Voici une discographie Non-officielle de notre Rocker Québécois
Comme je n'ai pas vu beaucoup de page (aucune!) qui le concerne
j'ai décidé de faire ma part pour le faire connaitre
J'y incluerai bientot quelques photos et pochettes de disques.
Si vous en avez de scannées SVP me les faire parvenirs

Cet artiste Québécois qui a su faire carrière dans les 2 langues
a été hautement sous-évalués au cours des années
au profit d'artistes plutot mièvres
comme Michel Rivard, Paul Piché, Luc DeLarochelieres, Daniel Lavoie et autres artistes AOR

Tous parlent du succès phénoménal de Céline Dion mais comme les Radios et autres Media ont toujours ignorées les artistes trop Rock ou Alternatifs les Québécois n'ont jamais pu appréciés a leur juste valeur des groupes tels: Mahogany Rush, Men Without Hats, Michel Pagliaro, Voivod, Kataklysm, Maneige, Cryptopsy et j'en oublie

Short Biography:

Pag" is one of the Montreal Quebec Pure Rocker! His career span from 1965 playing with Les Chanceliers till Now 2000. Influenced by The Beatles in the 60's, Michel Pagliaro refine its music and lyrics writing to a state where he Smashed the Top 10 often in the 70's in Quebec. Songs as "J'entends frapper" or "Les Bombes" are hymn now. In a wave of Hard Rock Pag with the help of Jim Zeller and many other good musicians expand the barrier of Canada with its ROCK Act in the 70's. Working more as a producer in the 80's (Higelin) he made a Big Hit with the long awaited album "Sous peine d'amour" in the end of the 80's. Since then, nothing new except one or 2 compilations. A Real Rocker "Pag" is a Quebec Artist to discover for those who still like the Real Rock Played Straight Line!

Montreal's Michel Pagliaro learned how to play guitar at age 11 and by 15 was playing in his first band - Les Stringmen followed by Les Bluebirds and Les Merseys and Les Rockers. At age 18 he was even the replacement bass player for the successful Les Chancelliers who managed to hit the charts with the 1966 single "Le P'tit Poppy".
But he soon grew tired of just being in bands Soon he decided, with producer George Lagios, to go solo and release several singles in Quebec including "Comme d'habitude" and "Avec la tete".
It would be in 1971 that Pagliaro's fortunes changed as he signed a deal through CHUM Ltd.'s CanCon fulfilling Much Records that provided him the opportunity to spread out into English speaking Canada with the hit "Give Us One More Chance".
That same year, the British sounding "Lovin' You Ain't Easy" made Pagliaro a household name along with other popular singles like "Some Sing, Some Dance" and "J'entends Frapper" which would become the biggest selling 7" single in the history of Quebec music. The song even impacted English Canada where it went to number one at all the radio stations in the Kingston area.
Pagliaro toured with his backing band, Moonquake, who would later have success of their own on Aquarius Records.
Pagliaro would switch to Columbia Records in 1975 and would have a major hit with "What The Hell I Got" that same year. But, Pagliaro still found it difficult to keep his popularity in areas outside of Quebec and found he was more welcome in his native home.
Following a self-imposed exile in the early '80's spent in France where he produced French pop star Jacques Hagelin, Pagliaro returned to Quebec and recorded two back-to-back French albums 'Avant' and 'Sous Peine D'Amour' (featuring the hit single 'L'espion' which went Top-10 in Quebec).
